False Report Incident in Brookfield, Wisconsin (December 2023)
In December 2023, Brookfield, Wisconsin police received a report of a shooting. A woman claimed that a man was firing a gun at her house but refused to provide personal information for safety reasons. However, upon arriving at the scene, authorities found no signs of a shooting.
Despite this, the woman continued to call multiple times, insisting the suspect was still firing. Upon investigation, police determined this might be a case of swatting. The caller was identified as Emily Carter, 36, who had a criminal history related to alcohol abuse. She had used caller ID blocking (*67) to repeatedly make false reports.
After checking records, police discovered that Emily Carter had an outstanding warrant. She was arrested and charged with making false reports and obstructing law enforcement. The court sentenced her to 1 year and 6 months in prison.
Drunk Driving Incident in Florida (March 2024)
In March 2024, in Big Pine Key, Florida, a Monroe County deputy noticed a vehicle speeding and crossing into the opposite lane. As the deputy turned to follow, the driver—identified as Darla, 35—continued driving recklessly before suddenly stopping, stepping out of the vehicle, and approaching the officer in a confrontational manner.
She showed signs of intoxication, refused to comply with police orders, and repeatedly mentioned knowing a police officer, demanding to call him to resolve the situation. Upon her arrest, Darla continuously complained about law enforcement. A search of her vehicle revealed an open bottle of alcohol.
Darla was charged with driving under the influence and obstructing law enforcement. She was released on bail set at $7,500.
Motorcycle Chase in Holmen, Wisconsin (March 2024)
Also in March 2024, in Holmen, Wisconsin, a police officer spotted a 15-year-old named Zakarias riding a motorcycle at excessive speeds. As the officer followed without activating emergency lights, Zakarias looked back and immediately accelerated to flee.
Police pursued him, but he continued running red lights and weaving through traffic. The chase ended when Zakarias saw an accident scene with officers nearby and decided to stop. He was arrested and charged with fleeing law enforcement and issued multiple traffic citations.
Zakarias’ Repeat Offense (June 2024)
Three months later, Zakarias was again caught speeding at over 100 mph. When officers attempted to stop him, he once again tried to escape but quickly lost control and crashed into a stationary vehicle.
Zakarias suffered minor injuries and was released on bail set at $15,000. Despite previous arrests for similar violations, he appeared not to have learned his lesson
