Detailed description:
This back-to-school favorite is the perfect book for welcoming someone new—or for laughing yourself silly!
Hooray! You’re finally here! But where were you? A bunny bounces through a range of emotions in this hilarious picture book about how difficult it is to wait. At first it’s ecstatic that you, the reader, have arrived. But then it lets you know that waiting for you took too long, was way too boring, and even became insulting. The bunny is ready to forgive everything if you’ll promise to stay. Just hold on one second—it needs to take a phone call. Wait! Come back! Where are you going?
This funny, energetic, in-your-face story is just right for anyone who needs to practice a little patience, or for welcoming a new friend, student, or family member.

I have been searching for this book for years. I was so excited to find it but I will warn it’s a lot of words for little ones (I teach 3-5 year old special needs students). Also, it was mailed in a Manila envelope type thing and arrived pretty bent up. Still, it’s a precious book and there are tons of ideas on Pinterest for activities and such to go along with it.

It’s a pretty good book for first day back to school. Wasn’t too fond of the ending but overall my students really enjoyed it along with the activities I planned to go with the book. Will probably be using it again next year. Shipping was awesome!! Didn’t think I would get it in time cause I ordered it last minute but it arrived in 2 days without prime!!

I love this book! I read it every year with my students. It’s a great way to start the year. Then we talk about all the things we have to do before starting school.

My Granddaughter just had her baby this week and I gave her this book – she had a great laugh and it will a book for the baby, too, as she gets older. Lighthearted, great illustration…

I read this book to my second graders on the 1st day of school. They love that I’m excited for them to be here. It has a great theme to the book, but 2nd graders don’t get it. The little bunny demands the reader spend time with him and even makes him promise. However, at the end he just leaves! It is tons of fun to read out loud. It is also a great price here. This book used to be $70, so I’m very excited about this new release!

I thought….hmmmmm…whatever…but then I read it to my kindergarteners…and they L O V E D it. “Read it again! Read it again!” I was afraid the dialogue might be over their heads, but they got it. I’m still shocked over what a hit it was…and continues to be.

I am a first grade teacher. I bought this book when I saw that it was available on Amazon Canada. It is not available in the US for some reason, and when it is, it is way too expensive. This is a cute book written by a family and classroom favorite author: Melanie Watt. The story is very accessible for children of all ages. My own children love that the author “breaks the fourth wall” as my youngest son realized that the bunny was speaking directly to him. It is silly and a great way to start the school year. The book arrived when it said it would. It is in great shape.
