But I really hate that when I need someone the most, Bash is the one that shows up to help me.
And when I find out what he did for Sabrina? I hate him even more.

I really fell in love with this book. All the characters came alive for me. However I don’t like Anders guy. Something is up with him. I like Bash with Abigail. Can’t wait for the next book.

Overall, the book was good. It has a very sweet and tender tone to it, rather than an emotional ride. The characters are strong, and the story line was nicely written. The plot is very similar to others in this genre, but written in a unique way. I recommend this book.

This is a clean but steamy romance book which is a really nice change of pace. I love the back and forth with the characters but I hate that each couples relationships get cut off halfway at the end of each book. I feel baited, which is a turn off because the writing should hold its own without cheap writing tactics.
You really get to love these characters and it’s full of emotional drama with inner struggles. The relationships are realistic even if they lean towards sappy love stories. It gracefully touches on real life issues like single parents, drug addiction, post partum depression, loss of a child and family dynamics. I really applaud her for this. If I read anymore it will be solely because she actually addresses these issues. This really reflects real life.

I enjoyed the first book in the series and ended up liking this one better. That usually is never the case. I also love how the author ends the books leading in to the next one. Can wait to read book #3

I really do enjoy these books. They are cozy, reads with romantic tension, plot twist, but I also feel like a lot of the story and the plot takes a long time to unravel that isn’t really necessary. The author repeats a lot of the same things to kind of drag things out, and I feel like a lot of the issues in the stories, and in the plot can be resolved a lot faster and things just get repeated to kind of take up space. But it’s not a terrible read

I’m enjoying the love story of Shelby and Miles a lot. But it feels like the other characters keep getting in the way, rather than enriching the main story. This has dragged out Miles’ and Shelby’s story over two books so far (along with Shelby’s insistence that she can’t face her past) and I find this a little frustrating.
I’m sure the other character’s story arcs will come to fruition in the next book, and that their inclusion will make more sense when that happens. This will make reading this series more satisfying. Right now I’m kind of wishing that I’d waited until the series was complete before I started it. There is too much left unresolved for my taste.
