Alright, why it took me so long to get to this book, I will never know. Thanks to L.J. Andrews and her crew for kicking me into gear with the release of book three in this series. Without it, I might have missed out. And what a travesty that would have been, lol.
The Ever King is book one in the Ever Seas series and follows the next generation from Ms. Andrews Broken Kingdom series. Our FMC, Livia, meets our broody bad boy Erik when they are children. She, the daughter of the king that killed his father, and he the son of the Sea Fae that attacked her people. There is a moment between them, a sweetness that foreshadows more than even I was prepared for when it came to this book. Fast forward ten years and things get REALLY good!
Now, I won’t ruin it for you, but I will say you aren’t going to see any of it coming. The twists and turns this book takes you on are so damn perfect I couldn’t put the book down. I was seriously glued to my kindle for every page. I stayed up WAY too late for ‘just one more chapter.’ And when it was done? I was downloading book two within seconds. L.J. Andrews creates a world and characters that you find yourself worrying over. Feeling for. And loving just as much as they love each other. It was such an amazing trip to watch this fascinating couple grow and learn to love not only each other but themselves. To toss aside the shackles that come with what they thought they knew and embrace each other mind, body, and soul. It was beautiful and fascinating and I loved every moment of it.
In conclusion, read this book. Plain and simple. You are going to want to be a part of this journey, I promise. L.J. Andrews is a brilliantly talented writer and her world is so remarkable and bewitching that you are going to regret missing out. I know I am forever changed thanks to this book and I can’t wait to see how the rest of the series plays out. 😀

Me ha gustado bastante, para mi es un libro que fácilmente ha entrado en mi lista de favoritos. En lo que respecta a historia y argumento no tengo ninguna queja, ahora bien, tema edición y envío Amazon es otra cosa.
En lo que respecta a la edición, me ha gustado bastante, tiene una portada muy bonita, y el hecho de que se hayan incluidos ilustraciones dentro me ha encantado. Pero, y referente a las ilustraciones, no me ha gustado que de las 4 que hay 2 tengan un estilo de dibujo y las otras 2 otro estilo, especialmente porque hay uno estilo que a mi me ha gustado más (las que vienen al principio y final del libro) que otro. Las imágenes que se encuentran por la mitad del libro he de decir que no son muy de mi agrado más que nada porque las he sentido muy planas, es decir, he sentido que le faltaba profundidad y sombras, pero aun así pienso que la intención ha sido bastante buena y es un detalle que últimamente en muchos libros no encuentras.
Ahora bien, tema envíos Amazon. Cuando hago un pedido de Amazon, la verdad es que ya no tengo expectativas de que me vaya a venir en perfectas condiciones. Concretamente este libro no me vino fatal, pero si que las puntas de varias páginas me vinieron un poco dobladas y malogradas, así como en la portada se había despegado un poco el film protector que le da ese aspecto mate. Sinceramente me he estado planteando comprar los libros en un sitio diferente a Amazon de cara al futuro porque desde que llevo comprando con ellos, no parecen haber mejorado el cuidado de sus envíos.
PD: Yo pedí la edición de tapa blanda, normalmente las ediciones de tapa dura suelen venir mejor porque resisten más los golpes del envío.

I enjoyed this story with all the characters that were within this book. The main characters were Livia and Erik.
Livia is a fae from the earth kingdom. She is their princess. When she was little she meet a young boy that was in the dungeons of the kingdom. She went to the dungeon often and told stories to the young boy. One day he tells her not to come back there again. So later in life she meets him again.
Erik is the Ever King and a fae. He has a magical gift. He wants revenge against the earth kingdom. So when he gets through to the earth kingdom he see the princess and decide to take her.
This was a fun story to read. It had action, adventure, suspense and mystery throughout. There were a few giggles within. This is a first in the series.
I saw this book in my Kindle Unlimited and decided to try it. This is my honest unbiased opinions.

OMG!! 😱 I fell in love with this book!! ❤️❤️❤️ It had everything a book crazy fantasy reader needed!!!! I had been looking for a long time for a pirate fantasy romance book to fulfill my Pirates of the Caribbean obsession but HOLY SMOKES, I did not expect THAT!!!
The bloody PIRATES AND FAE TOGETHER were absolutely perfect and the sea shanty 😱!!! 🏴☠️
The ENEMIES TO LOVERS ❤️ and the SLOW BURN – 2 of my absolutely favourite things!!!!
The DUAL POV!!!! That sells the book for me right away!!!

This is my first book from LJ Andrews and I’m obsessed… I ordered the 2nd book and Imma need to order all of her other books as well cuz she puts everything I love in a book together perfectly.
I’m a BIG HUGE ACTION FAN – so like I love heists, battles, combat, training, adventure, danger and obviously anything to do with magic and the fantasy aspect and I feel like I found it all in THE EVER KING!!!

When I say I LOVED this book, I mean it!! I was hooked starting with the dedication at the beginning of the book! If you are looking for morally grey, look no further!! Amazing!
I really enjoyed the Broken Kingdoms series and this was a great addition to the universe in a way that felt new and fresh. If you haven’t read The Broken Kingdoms Series, you should, but it is not needed to read The Ever King.
The Ever is such a refreshing take on sea fae and their kingdom. Definitely something I have not read before. It was so fun to immerse myself in a new world!
Light Spoilers Below:
I am a huge fan of enemies to lovers but sometimes get hung up on the back and forth. It can feel too forced or like one character experiences broken trust over the silliest of things. In The Ever King, the characters are reasonable and I felt connected to the main characters. I did not have that “oh get over it” feeling.

Gods, I just couldn’t put this book down! The chemistry between the main characters was intoxicating, the plot was amazingly built (no filler chapters, amen). It’s hard to find such good books on kindle unlimited, so I highly recommend it to fantasy/romantasy fans. Bonus: morally grey main character + that touch of violence that keeps things interesting

Absolutely incredible romantasy! I’m completely enthralled by Erik and I find him so enticing! Liv is wonderful and I love that she doesn’t escape from the darkness but accepts it! That’s exactly what I want in the books I read.
I also enjoyed the fact that the love interest’s appearance is a little different from the usual romantasy love interests!
I totally recommend this book! It surely goes into my top reads! It started a bit slow with a lot of world building that I don’t think was really necessary, but when the plot/romance hit, it totally hooked me!

This was a very enjoyable read. I liked the different world setup then I feel so many other series have. The romance was very enjoyable and the steam was solid. I’m excited to see what happens next!
