My daughter requested this book and although her writing is OK and I’m not really sure why she wants it, I did buy it and she has been doing pages now and then independently. She just really seems to like it! She’s also quite artistic and I think she wants to improve her calligraphy. She’s just started secondary school and I think she may have seen someone else’s beautiful handwriting and been inspired!

It’s essentially a practice book for forming letters. It’s more grown-up than ones for children learning to write though so it does work for her. I think the proof is in the pudding. Her writing may improve and that’s good in my eyes! And if she’s doing this and not playing on the computer! Even better!

My 11 year old son had just started learning cursive at the end of 5th grade. Most schools dont teach this much anymore. Utilized this workbook to continue his learning of writing and reading cursive. Turns out he has LOVELY cursive writing! Highly recommend this workbook as well as the print workbook from the same company

  3. MDI

Since they do not teach cursive in my grandchildren’s school, I decided to teach them myself!
I have always taken pride in my penmanship, and decided to teach them since they can’t even
understand what is written in a card for them. How sad!
I have also explained to them that they will need to know how to sign for their driver’s license and passport one day.

  4. Marleinah

I really like this book, and can’t wait to get my daughter started on learning cursive! It’s important that she learns, because how else is she going to sign her name on important documents, etc??
This book begins with learning to write each letter, then words and sentences. After one learns that, there are pages with topics at the top and one will freely write in cursive their answer. For example, “Write a time you felt really proud of yourself.”
    I highly recommend this book!

I bought this book due to the fact that my son could not read cursive. His teacher had written him a thank you node and it was in cursive and he had a difficult time so I bought this so he can learn how to write and read cursive since it’s not taught in schools anymore.

Great for relearning cursive After health event. People can even read my writing now

  7. Georgia S.

I have an eight year year-old in the 14-year-old and the book is great for both of them and it’s also an awesome way to spend time together and they enjoy learning how to write cursive almost as if it’s another language lol!

  8. Sexy Back77

Purchased because kids barely learn how to write cursive. They act like it is some type of ancient craft to master. Anytime I write in cursive they talk in Old English. My daughter loves the book, my son (left handed) it’s a lost cause. However overall great practice book.

    8th Grade Homeschool Review:

As a parent and homeschool educator, I’ve been using a set of books for 8th-grade homeschooling, and I’d like to share my thoughts. These books have proven to be a valuable resource in our homeschool journey. They provide a solid foundation for various subjects, covering a wide range of topics essential for 8th-grade students.

What I appreciate most about these books is their comprehensive approach. They offer a well-structured curriculum that allows students to delve into subjects such as mathematics, science, literature, and history. The content is clear, and the exercises and activities help reinforce the learning process.

However, it’s worth noting that while these books are fantastic as guides, they might not provide all the answers. As with any educational materials, there may be moments when students need additional support or clarification. In such cases, we’ve found supplemental videos and other educational resources to be incredibly helpful. The combination of these books and supplementary materials has been the key to a well-rounded education.

    Subnote:
This review is intended to serve as a general overview for all the books I’m currently using for 8th-grade homeschooling. If any of the books stand out, either for their exceptional quality or shortcomings, I will provide a more detailed review for that specific book. It’s all about ensuring that our homeschooling experience is as enriching as possible.

I bought this for a nine year old whose handwriting had definitely degenerated during the lock down. She was interested because of the words ‘for teens’ in the title. It is a clear book with plenty of room for copying and her handwriting has already improved.

  13. Amazon Customer

This book is perfect! I am using it to teach some teenagers how to write in cursive, since they didn’t get it in school.
