Was searching for something to read with my 5-year-old, and I stumbled upon this set. We laughed out loud at parts, and enjoyed the story. He asked for more, so we bought the 2nd set. 5-stars for that, too. He still laughs about certain things in the 1st set.

Comprei para meu filho de 9 anos que estuda em escola bilíngue. Acho que gostei mais do que ele. E olhe que ele gosta muito!! São histórias simples em inglês em preto e branco, mas vale a pena cada centavo gasto. Muito bom mesmo.

Hilarious– a great box set, funny story, well written– good exposure! My son is a reader, but would be good for reluctant readers as well. Keeps interest and wasy to remember day to day. We look forward to reading this at night and talking about it during the day!

These books are so much fun to read. They keep kids guessing and parents entertained. I’ve gotten this set as a gift for a young niece and my kid’s friend as well, and they’ve been a hit–even though most kids say “books! Ugh!”

“The Bad Guys” is a popular children’s book series written and illustrated by Aaron Blabey. The series, starting with “The Bad Guys” and followed by subsequent titles, blends humor, adventure, and a quirky cast of characters. Books 1-5 introduce readers to the main characters and set the stage for their hilarious and action-packed escapades.
Book 1: The Bad Guys Plot: The series begins by introducing Mr. Wolf, Mr. Shark, Mr. Snake, and Mr. Piranha—four “bad guys” who decide to change their ways and become heroes. Humor and Wit: The clever humor continues to be a highlight, appealing to both kids and adults. Book 4: Attack of the Zittens Plot: The gang encounters a new threat—zombie kittens (Zittens). We tried this series as it’s pretty popular so my 7 year-old son has heard of it from his friends. We tried other booked but couldn’t really get him to read consistently, UNTIL this series. He’s hooked!
It’s a graphic novel but has enough words in each page for my son to practice his reading. He’s able to read most of the words with some new vocabulary for him to learn. The stories are engaging and sometimes funny. I find my son giggling while reading it and he would summarize the plot for us after.

I ordered The Bad Guys Box Set: Books 1-5 for my grandson’s 4th birthday, which was on March 4th. He didn’t seem super excited about them, although he loves to read. They came to visit two weeks later, and he had already read all five books, by himself, more than once (he’s been reading at a Level 2 for about a year).
He loved them so much, he let me know that he wanted to whole series. I ordered him books 6-10, that were supposed to be an Easter gift; however, he got them about a week early & has already finished them! Guess I’ll be ordering books 11-14, soon!
