Jillian Parks doesn’t need her hybrid scorpion pepper to set her pulse racing. Wildly charismatic rancher Jack Reed does that all on his own in this scorcher from Gigi Templeton.
Don’t ever think I didn’t want more time with you, darlin’.
Those were her college boyfriend’s last words to her after a phone call summoned him home to Texas. In the ten years since, Jack Reed has taken over his family’s ranch, and Jillian Parks has experienced devastating losses with traumatic repercussions.
Now a reclusive insomniac, she podcasts about the specialty hybrid chili peppers she grows in her Seattle greenhouse, keeping a closed door between her and the past. But when Jillian’s producer coaxes her to make a surprise call in to Jack’s YouTube BBQ channel, their chemistry still sizzles!
An invite to the ranch for a follow-up collab is a scary proposal for Jillian. But forward movement is key to her recovery, and it’s time to take the bull by the horns. With Jack’s commanding yet soothing presence, maybe this charismatic cowboy is just the right ingredient to help her heal—while adding a different kind of spice to her life.
This story was so good! A foodie myself and a hopeless romantic at that, I couldn’t wait to see how this story ended!! Really wish there was an epilogue to get a glimpse of their time after their miraculous news.

Insanely romantic. A scorching masterpiece and overwhelmingly passionate and sensual this is as hot as the chilli dressings in the storyline. Add in wry humour, witty repartee and a tragedy that has a HEA and you have one helluva page turner. TOTALLY ELECTRIFYING. 💕🔥💘💞❤

If you enjoy food, you will like this story. Personally the concentration on food was too much for me. I could have been reading about a chef instead of a rancher. Not being from the USA or even a foodie, I didn`t identify most of the foods either and got bored with that part very quickly.
The storyline didn’t sit tight with me either. If after 10 years, a couple can just slip straight into their old relationship as if they had not been apart, or had never stopped thinking about each other, surely they would have kept communication lines open. Basically it was a light hearted read and enjoyable enough. I do wish however, that the front cover would relate to the story. After all it does create your first impression. I would rather have seen a sexy rancher.

I loved the characters I could relate to the family dynamics sine I came from a large family. Jack and Jillly had an awsome chemistry expertly portrayed.

Gotta say this book confused me. It’s a good book, great story line! Loved the main characters. But don’t understand The issues with the main female character And how She works through them so quickly just because of a man. I admit men can be amazing creatures. But parts of this book Stretch reality way too far. Which is part of it being fiction I know. That being said, I think the author did a great job Bringing spice To the 2 main characters. If there were 2 people out there that could bring the same sizzle irl to a cooking show I might just watch it.

Romantic and very funny. The banter between the lead characters is highly entertaining and the culinary theme was done very well. Likeable flawed characters that overcome painful obstacles for their HEA. It’s going on my list of books I will read again. Can’t wait for the next book Fired Up.

I loved it, the timing was good, the day to day process of life realistic. Everything wasn’t them just agreeing on everything for the sake of them being together. They were two individuals with their own lives and I loved that.

Jack & Jillian (triggers: PTSD). This was a sweet, fun and extremely spicy story. It’s a second chance romance that will have you on the edge of your seats wondering what will happen next. Jillian is pretty much reclusive and very much different from the way Jack remembered her from college. Jack is now the head of his family’s ranch after his father’s passing. To make more money, both of them are utilizing social media. So when she does a guest appearance on his show and the sparks fly, he decides to invite her to come to the ranch and appear in person. Only in person, it’s not just sparks it’s like someone set the fireworks stand on fire. Boom 💥💥💥💥💥💥. Loved it. Wished there was an epilogue though. Also the names of the family members threw me off. The women had masculine names like, Wyatt and Brett and one of the boys’ names was Allie. It was a bit weird and confused me a few times. 🤷🏾♀️
