Detailed description:
(Faber Piano Adventures ). The 2nd Edition Level 1 Lesson Book introduces all the notes of the grand staff, elementary chord playing, and the concept of tonic and dominant notes. Students play in varied positions, reinforcing reading skills and recognizing intervals through the 5th. Musicianship is built with the introduction of legato and staccato touches. This level continues the interval orientation to reading across the full range of the Grand Staff. The 5-finger approach is presented here in a fresh, musically appealing way.

My 7 year old uses this book with her piano teacher and we love it. It’s easy for her to follow even when she’s not with her teacher.

The negative reviews have a point: this isn’t for beginners. It is the second book in the series, mean to be used after the “Primer” level. It begins with a review of information presented in the Primer book. The levels of many piano methods have confusing names, not just Piano Adventures. It would be nice if teachers and students could just look for book 1, then book 2 and so on.
The contents of the book are mostly good. Some effort is made to keep students from thinking in “positions”, but not quite enough in my option. The music is appealing.

I have used The Faber Piano Method Series for the past 16 years because it is absolutely the BEST out there. The method introduces students to all styles and genres of music, and it assists with understanding chords and key structures much sooner than other available methods. In addition, the pieces are both fun and challenging for students to play. I’ve used every method on the market, and Faber outshines them all.

I have taught piano to elementary school students and adults for 15+ years. There are many tried and true piano series out there and most of them have pictures and printed font from the 1940’s and 1950’s. They look dated and boring. Not this book! The husband and wife team who put out the Faber and Faber piano series have created a new, fresh look and feel while still presenting the basics of piano technique and music theory. Your student may be learning a classic piece like Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, but the accompaniments are new and gorgeous. Many have wonderful teacher duet arrangements that are great the adult learner who does not want to learn ‘baby’ songs as they begin acquiring a new skill. I love that this book includes pages of fun activities that teach music theory (counting, rhythm, dynamics) in such a fun way that the kids learn without realizing it. I think this book is an awesome addition to any piano teacher’s list of resource books for their students. Try one, you will be hooked and want to buy them all!

Brani molto allegri e ben strutturato, peccato ci sia solo nella versione in inglese, per i più piccoli se fosse in italiano sarebbe più semplice
