For those kids who like to ask why a million times a day, this is the perfect book. My 2nd grader loves it and we enjoy reading it together. If it saves me from having to answer the WHY question a few times, I am in!

I bought this for my son to take on a trip as I thought he would enjoy the interesting facts. He’s always asking why things are the way they are or how things work. This book was wonderful and provided entertainment for him and I’m sure will be a reference For a while to come

My kids love it when we go on road trips and get this book out. I will read the captions and ask them if they know “why” first and then I read the captions out loud. My kids learn a lot from it, and we have learned just how much smarter my 8-year-old might be than our 12-year-old. My husband and I have learned a lot from this book as well.

Content is a bit dated. Definitely feeds my daughter’s curiosity. The book’s binding isn’t good – I feel like it’s going to fall apart any day now.
I’ve got a computer science degree and I was disappointed that there is no reference to Alan Turing.
The content seems to make sense to my 8 year old so that’s good. It seems like a good depth of knowledge for someone her age. She’ll ask me a question and I answer only to find out the book answers it a sentence or two later.
