Mycket fint illustrad bok med kartor och fakta rutor. I kartorna är pilar med årtal och riktning inritade.
Boken är indelad i olika tidsepoker: Prehistory, The Ancient world, Middle Ages, The Early Modern World, Revolution And Industy, Progress and Empire och The Modern World.
Mycket intressant med historia och kartor tillsammans!

Rekommenderar denna bok som present eller till dig själv.

There is still a role for books in our lives. This one is made with quality that world history deserves. The pages are thick and colorful. The binding will last many years. Every schoolroom and public library should have at least one copy. The maps and texts are focused and easy to understand for people who are searching understanding.
There is an effort to include all parts of our planet, all major peoples and their religions in the content. Those doing indepth study will go farther than this book but beginning with a visual of when and where we want to focus is very helpful. The Smithsonian Institution is a dependable authority. I am informed by this history book in a tactile way that moves me emotionally.

Não achei nada parecido nas línguas portuguesa, francesa e espanhola (línguas que eu consigo ler). Livro completo, rico em informações e de agradável apresentação. Na minha opinião, o melhor do gênero.

I have wanted this book for our homeschool for a while and was excited to see it on sale for Amazon Days. Although I am not going through the hassle of returning for a replacement I am disappointed that it arrived rather damaged. At first I thought it was ripped on spine because it was not secured in a large box with other items, but there are dents and a stain on edge of pages too. I shall tape the spine and use it for years to come because this is a wonderful book to accompany history lessons.

  11. Robyn M. Musicant

I am blown away by the quality of this gorgeous book. So much information and an incredible value. Bought it for myself but would buy again as a great gift!

  12. Amazon Customer

    biased book.
even when you first open it at page one it goes into evolution theory as a fact. even-though thousands of doctorates right now have signed a petition on the matter that it shouldn’t be thought that way this book takes it to extreme measures. (all without providing proof for the claims)

this is not the only example it tried to show good lights on some and not so much at others

I’m a big map person so this book was perfect for me lol! Even if you aren’t this functions effectively as a world history book with not just tons of maps but photos and images of all sorts. It has tons of interesting maps on history, demographics, religion, and all that cool social studies kind of stuff.
