LeeAnn Mallorie, MAPP, began her career as an executive coach in 2006, working with leaders and teams from around the globe. Yet she soon found something was missing—the body. This led her on a personal journey of physical, mental, and spiritual healing that took her into the depths of her soul and the heights of her consciousness. Committed to the belief that transforming business is the keystone to solving many of our world’s stickiest problems, she brought each of these lessons back to her clients in the corporate sector. As the founder and CEO of Leading in Motion, LeeAnn has now spent over a decade helping leaders face bottom-line challenges while combating both meaning-depletion and burnout. She does this by using practical embodiment tools to bridge the gap between the hard-driving logical mind and the deeper wisdom of the soul. Her leadership curriculum offers a concrete, actionable doorway to greater power, resilience, influence, ethics, and impact at work.
“Guts and Grace is a brave, bold invitation into a new paradigm for women’s leadership—one that values wholeness, the wisdom of the body, deep listening, reflection, and authentic action. Each chapter contains simple, yet powerful, daily practices designed to deepen the important work of connecting with our innermost truth.”
EILEEN FISHER, founder and co-CEO of EILEEN FISHER, Inc.
“Guts and Grace is for women leaders who aren’t just about winning the rat race but determined to change the game. LeeAnn Mallorie offers a roadmap to authentic, innovative, purpose-driven leadership that will help organizations become great places to work for all.”
MICHAEL C. BUSH, CEO of Great Place to Work
“The journey of leadership isn’t just about getting things done—it’s about how you treat yourself and everyone else in the process. In Guts and Grace, LeeAnn Mallorie lays out how to be a successful leader with raw power and drive as well as genuine self-acceptance and resilience. For you, your team, and everyone you impact.”
SHERYL O’LAUGHLIN, former CEO of REBBL and Clif Bar & Company
“Guts and Grace is a robust guide to leading and living more effectively. In it, LeeAnn Mallorie offers a call to arms that shows women can serve others and care for themselves in parallel—a foundation of fully conscious leadership. This book is filled with novel ideas and practices that will energize you and the people you lead!”
TOM RATH, author of StrengthsFinder 2.0 and Are You Fully Charged?

Although the primary focus of this book is helping women in their quest to better balance their lives and open opportunities that come through being at your best and enjoying every aspect of your best self, it is also a great path for men as well!
I am half way thorugh and following the course outlined and it has led to some great positive changes. While is it is true that I am her Dad, It is also the case that I have watched her lovingly for years as she has worked to develp a path to a better you and I have seen her help so many women, and men, achieve the positvie balance in their lives that makes it so much more worth living. Try it! You will not regret it!

Great for women entrepreneurs, professionals, leaders, and educators of all ages seeking to change the way we do work. Also super valuable for anyone on the edge of burnout, moving fast but getting nowhere, ready for — or in the midst of — change.
LeeAnn Mallorie breaks down embodied leadership into four verbs: embody, empower, activate, inspire. Readers are taken on an experiential journey through each, with practices and reflection questions to take the exploration deeper and engage the principles in our lives. Like LeeAnn’s signature teaching style, this book is uniquely alive and delivers the goods: the opportunity to awaken personal dreams, step up, and lead our lives in ways that feel good in our bodies, challenge us in the right ways, and invite positive collaboration and connection with others.
Business as usual is not working for women and LeeAnn shows us how we can do things differently. A big thumbs up — and a round of applause.

Wow. Finally a book that actually speaks to women about how to navigate life AS WOMEN! So many books in this genre are about playing the established game. Considering this book was probably written years before the nascent upsurge in diversity thinking and push towards inclusion, it feels prescient. With those tides upon us all its a great guidebook to help women and affinity minded allies to surf the wave. Beyond relatable insights, great practices….highly recommend.

I’m not yet finished with this book, but so far I’m absolutely loving it. The author seemingly has a wealth of knowledge around what it takes to make a great leader and a self aware human. I’ve read many a self help book, but what I particularly appreciate about this one is that she offers very specific practical applications as well as a playlist for each chapter. How cool is that!? It’s a nice touch. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is ready to do some guided soul searching.

With so many leadership books and courses in the market it’s hard to separate the cliche advice from something that would apply to you specifically. This book stands out with relatable, innovative approach to female leadership. Now more than ever, women need to understand that to impact any change in the world we need to start with the biggest enemy: ourselves. This book will teach you how to do that. Be prepared do change your life for the better.

Today many of us are so consumed by a culture of doing that we rarely have downtime to sit and reflect and pay attention to what really matters. Guts and Grace gives you a reason to slow down and engage in an introspective journey that helps you learn about yourself, including what matters and what doesn’t. This book is filled with several thoughtful exercises, stories and inspiring ways to come home into your body so you can be the leader you’ve always wanted to be.

It’s time for a new model of showing up in the world. What I love most about this book is that it invites the reader to slow down, pause and reflect. In doing so, there is a true opportunity to integrate LeeAnn’s questions and wisdom into daily practice. Having read and re-read certain chapters of this book, I’m still learning, discovering and unraveling patterns that no longer serve me. This is a book you will come back to time and time again to seek grounding and way forward. What a gift!

This book has been truly eye opening for me. I’m so glad I took my time exploring each of these techniques for several weeks versus rushing through the book in a months time. It offers relevancy and examples, all which I could relate to. It forced me to look inward and focus more on myself, something I had not done before. It is truly enlightening when you start listening to your body and understanding your identity/purpose.
