Detailed description:
The hilarious #1 New York Times bestselling classic picture book about a chimpanzee in a very bad mood–perfect for young children learning how to deal with confusing feelings.
Jim the chimpanzee is in a terrible mood for no good reason. His friends can’t understand it–how can he be in a bad mood when it’s SUCH a beautiful day? They have lots of suggestions for how to make him feel better. But Jim can’t take all the advice…and has a BIT of a meltdown. Could it be that he just needs a day to feel grumpy?
Suzanne and Max Lang bring hilarity and levity to this very important lesson on emotional literacy, demonstrating to kids that they are allowed to feel their feelings.
Grumpy Monkey is the first title in a series of books targeted at different ages that encourage kids to feel their feelings.

My daughter may not be old enough to appreciate it yet (although she still brings it to me to read to her) but I love this book. The story is fun to read and the pictures are vibrant and fun. Would recommend to anyone.

Livro escrito em inglês, de fácil compreensão. Ilustrações lindas. Conta a história de um macaco mal humorado e seu amigo urso tentando ajudá-lo e aumentando a encrenca. Divertido.

Grumpy Monkey by Suzanne Lang is a delightful tale that captures the essence of dealing with emotions, particularly when one is feeling a bit out of sorts. 📚🎨
In this charming picture book, we meet Jim Panzee, who wakes up feeling grumpy for no apparent reason. As he goes about his day, his friends try to cheer him up with various activities, but Jim just can’t seem to shake off his grumpiness. 🙁
The illustrations by Max Lang perfectly complement the story, bringing Jim’s emotions to life in vivid detail. From his furrowed brow to his slumped posture, every aspect of Jim’s grumpiness is expertly depicted.
Through Jim’s journey, young readers learn valuable lessons about the importance of acknowledging and accepting their feelings, as well as the significance of friendship and support. 🤝

This book really was so cute. I got it as a birthday gift for a friends 3 year old boy. When it arrived I read it before hand it it made me tear up, so sweet and a nice meaning. I kept referring to myself as a grumpy monkey whimsically throughout the day whenever I felt myself getting frustrated and it honestly made me chuckle and helped. Definitely gonna gift it again for other littles in my life.

The story was well-developed through the life of a monkey who was always grumpy despite his many friends that sought to cheer him up. Finally he was able to lose his grumpiness through another animal whom he befriended that had a true reason to be “grumpy.” The story has lessons for all of us, regardless of age or circumstances. The artwork is fabulous and the book is clearly a gem for children’s libraries.

Grumpy Monkey, what a hilarious book it is. JIM PANZEE is not in a good mood for no good reason and is not able to shake it despite having wonderful friends with him. His friends try to help but with no good luck. But its ok if you are feeling grumpy for a day or two and his friends are helping him by sitting with him until his grumpiness passes. It’s an emotional roller-coaster and affirmation for kids that its ok to be grumpy and its perfectly fine not to feel ok. It shall too pass like Jim Panzee’s grumpiness shall pass.
Engage yourself in this beautiful read with attractive pictures and gripping words.
