Great book for learning the basics of playing the Cello. Love the play-a-long CD that is included with the book!

I chose this product because the Cello book No 1 was so successful. Ths reason I like this book is because of the play-along nature of the teaching. This makes personalo practice more interesting

I am quite pleased to continue with this excellent method. It progresses in technique and literacy at a pace which allows the player to attain mastery quickly, with the added benefit of being able to play with others in ensemble.

Great book , bought the one and two and find both books indespensable, these books should be purchased before starting cello course and should be integrated with all music schools. A definite must have!

Thank you to Amazon Amazon for having the lowest price on these books that I can find in any retail establishment. Since many many students use these books in their school music programs. It’s great to be able to come on here and purchase one at a reasonable price.

I bought this book to help me learn cello. I was also taking lessons, but this book progressed me farther and faster than the lessons did. I bought book 1 and 2. If you make it to the end of both books, you are on your way to learning cello fast and easy. The online interactive playing is a BIG plus and was very fun.

This is one of my favorite series. The first book helped me learn to read music. This second book is beginning to show me forward and backward extensions and flat/minor keys. I feel the lessons are presented with clear instructions, although not a lot of instructions ( I prefer more). Each new skill will be followed by several very short practice songs to play. The end of the book has a long Spotlight part with several long pieces to play, all very nice. Little parts on Theory and History are added through the book, a nice touch. It does not come with a CD to listen to the songs but you can stream the music or get a free CD with the order form included. I feel you will need song books to practice the skills you learn. I use several other books with this one to actually play music.

I use this book for my K-12, and higher education classes. Good for beginners. It shows the steps how to read the note in all strings, and have some good ensemble pieces.
