I bought this book to study Alto Sax and it happened to be the best of about 10 I reviewed so far from shops and library. Great material, easy to work with and what I like the most is the online registration and materials, play, record, save your work, get back the next day and continue, metronome/song switch, you name it… I love this book and would definitely recommend to a beginner like me.

As an adult who has played several other instruments and knows how to read music, I found this book to be at just the right level. Gives snippets of well known songs or simple classical pieces that increase in difficulty and use the notes learned thus far. New notes are introduced at just the right pace, along with timing details. You will probably want to supplement with a few YouTube videos about proper embouchure, how to get a good sound from notes that trouble you (in my case the very low notes), and for tricky fingerings – but these are readily available.

Great book! My child just started to play the saxophone and his first book was coming apart. We ordered this one and so far its holding up great after a few months!
The yarn was very good but it was ALOT smaller than you might think it was about less than a foot and not that much yarn in it –
