In today’s fast-paced world of competitive workplaces and turbulent economic conditions, each of us is searching for effective tools that can help us to manage, adapt, and strike out ahead of the pack.
By now, emotional intelligence (EQ) needs little introduction—it’s no secret that EQ is critical to your success. But knowing what EQ is and knowing how to use it to improve your life are two very different things.
Emotional Intelligence 2.0 delivers a step-by-step program for increasing your EQ via four, core EQ skills that enable you to achieve your fullest potential:
1) Self-Awareness
2) Self-Management
3) Social Awareness
4) Relationship Management
Emotional Intelligence 2.0 is a book with a single purpose—increasing your EQ. Here’s what people are saying about it:
“Emotional Intelligence 2.0 succinctly explains how to deal with emotions creatively and employ our intelligence in a beneficial way.”
—The Dalai Lama
“A fast read with compelling anecdotes and good context in which to understand and improve.”
—Newsweek
“Gives abundant, practical findings and insights with emphasis on how to develop EQ. Research shows convincingly that EQ is more important than IQ.”

But I was able to take my emotional intelligence quiz

Included with the book is a helpful assessment for the reader to first understand their own level of emotional intelligence. This sets the foundation for the reader to understand the book’s four primary primary principles: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management. Understanding and applying these principles can help the reader communicate and develop meaningful relationships at work, with family, and in social environments. I found the book to be rich with insights and practical take aways and would recommend it to the Amazon community.

Many times I have thought what a person makes more likeable than others, but as well as other factor to close deals or be more symphatetic with other people. Sor far, I am enjoying the book so much and learning loads from my own decisions and the way I am thinking during conflicts or situations. Worth the read

Like, saved my life.
Has anyone ever felt like they were highly intelligent and capable, yet there was something inarticulable holding you back?
I felt like that for a long time. With the help of some friends and acquaintances telling me I was low in EMOTIONAL intelligence, I began looking into self help for growing my mysterious EQ.
I have had this book for a little less than a week, but the very simple, very well-explained practices it gave me, along with the online tests and practices (oh yeah, they have thought of everything) have exponentially made it worth the paltry purchase price.
People are telling me I “seem lighter” and that I am understanding them better.
I am now able to reflect both within myself and on my personal relationships in a way that helps me grow. Each step is becoming more exciting. I feel like I am becoming a new person, but these abilities have always been inside of me. This book, and the online practices, help me realize what, exactly, I should be focusing on.
Heads up – it does require effort to get better. You have to first be willing and able to accurately self-assess your aptitude, so if you have a trusted friend help you take the initial test, it might help accuracy. You also have to be willing to be receptive and forgiving to yourself in order to enact behavioral changes.
If you can do these things, I would recommend this book 100%
Good luck.

I got, and finished, this book in two days. I initially ordered it as a book to be read for work but found it to be an absolutely easy read that has changed the way I think about my everyday actions.
First, I completed the EQ test/survey that’s included with the book, which gave me my EQ scores in the 4 areas this book covers: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management. This is the hard pill… if you’re honest, I think you’ll be surprised at how low some of these might be. While I found the test a bit short to give me a wholistic score like it did, it did at least give me the motivation to read about how I can improve.
The book then breaks down each section, and talks about how to identify short-comings, how to think about each these categories, and gives a ton of thoughtful advice.
While I initially picked this up as a requirement for my sales job, I’ll be recommending it to anyone I know starting a career and trying to move up the ladder – the book goes into great detail on how important EQ is in all aspects of life, but definitely has a focus on career success.
Highly recommend, I only wish it was longer!

Es una guía muy buena y personalizada con la evaluación que uno hace al principio, te define recomendaciones específicas en base a tus resultados iniciales y te permite hacer nuevamente la evaluación para ver tu progreso y oportunidades de mejora.

The book is short, which could be a good thing for some, but I found that it was lacking depth. Definitely business focused so it reads like emotional intelligence is for being more productive at work with little attention given to EQ in the context of your personal life. The Emotional Intelligence test that is included with the book is a self assessment test that is short and the questions are very transparent like “Do you think about others when making decisions?” And you rate yourself from “Never” to “Always”. I recommend Daniel Goleman’s Emotional Intelligence over this book. It’s more dense but it has the depth that the topic deserves.
