This is a beautiful Bible and I feel they were very thoughtful in how they put it together. This is my first time with CSB version, I appreciate how simple it is to read. The Bible is full of helpful resources, maps, devotionals, reading plans, a verse that highlights each book of the Bible, a context and information at the start of each new book. There is plenty of space provided in the margins if you’d like to make a note. There’s two silk strings provided to mark your spot. The pages, however, are quite thin. I didn’t have any trouble applying or using Bible tabs, but it does cause creases to be seen where you highlight or take notes. I provided pictures of many of the nice features of this Bible, but the creases from note taking/highlighting can also be seen. Overall, a beautiful and helpful Bible that can be appreciated by anyone looking to be in the word of God.

    OVERVIEW
I was raised my entire life in a Christian household, spent 10 years enrolled in Christian private school, and have served in many ministries throughout my 20 years of life. I have owned many Bibles and have used many different translations, however I think I love this one the most. There are many details and resources within this Bible that provide valuable insight and background knowledge that during my 20 years, I have never heard. That’s why I think it is great for both new or old Christians. There is always more to learn, and this Bible gives plenty of directions to pursue in additional learning even for us old Christians.

    READABILITY
I grew up on the King James Version which requires a lot of analysis of the text. While I love KJV for its accuracy in translation, certain passages can be difficult to understand and can leave room for misinterpretation. This version is much easier to read, though still keeps its substance unlike other “easier” to read versions such as NIV which I feel isn’t detailed enough or is “dumbed down” for lack of better words. I used to read both versions during my personal Bible studies and compare the two in order to gain a full understanding of scripture, however this version feels like the best of both worlds. This translation is beautifully written and easy to understand while still keeping detail and integrity of the scripture. I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything like I do when I read other versions.

    PHYSICALLY
This Bible is very comfortable to hold. It is pretty large in thickness compared to other Bibles I’ve owned, but I like this in comparison to the small Bibles that I am used to using. The texture of the cover is soft and smooth, and is comfortable in my hand. It feels comfortable closed for carrying and opened for reading. One thing I will say is that it is a bit heavy, which is something that should be taken into consideration for people who might have varying needs when it comes to their abilities. It has some bend to it when you hold it. I use a digital Bible for church and use physical copies for at home studying, but I’m sure that this Bible would be easy to carry around for those who use physical versions in church or group studies.

    INTERIOR
The interior of this Bible is very nice. The words on the page are small which might be a concern for people who don’t have great vision. I don’t use my reading glasses for everything, but I will definitely be using them for this Bible. The colors and illustrations in this book are beautiful and very aesthetically pleasing, and the design keeps it easy to read. There are large margins on each page and plenty of room for note taking if you’re someone who annotates. The beauty of this book makes me excited to study and makes it incredibly easy to do so.

    FEATURES/ EASE OF LEARNING
Each book has a header page that provides an overview of information on the book such as history, author, and context needed to fully understand each book. Many books have visuals as well that show the region being discussed or other graphics relevant to the story. Each book comes with a weekly reading schedule that has a suggested reading plan with supplemental passages that can provide further context and connection. The “Going Deeper” feature is something that I have never found in another Bible, that I think is really great. Each book is color coded based on what theme it covers. This is another feature that I am really excited for, as it helps further understand the context of the book and increases the takeaway and analyzation of the book. I’ve heard many of these terms throughout many sermons, however I never understood the breakdown of each book into these categories. This will be a great reference point that I will use often during my studies. It includes a yearly reading plan as well as a topical index. There are many additional features that will be helpful for understanding and context, and will allow you to get the most out of your studies.

    PREVIEWS
I tried to include many of the different types of resources that I think make this Bible great in my pictures, but the publisher offers a preview of the Bible on their website which is what sold me on it. I saw this Bible on tiktok and looked at many of the pictures/ reviews on Amazon as I considered whether or not to buy it since I already own several Bibles. On Shereadstruth.com there are videos available to view, and the option to view a free downloadable preview. The preview is the Book of Esther, and after two minutes of viewing, I decided that I had to buy it. The background info provided in this Bible provide entirely new insight and perspective to this story that I have heard my entire life and have studied multiple times. My first study with this new Bible is going to be the book of Esther. I am waiting for my annotation materials to arrive before I start, and I am extremely excited to begin and to see where my studies will take me next.

I highly recommend checking out the brand’s website to get a better understanding on whether this Bible will work for you. I am very excited to have it in my collection and to utilize it to grow in my faith which has been lacking recently. I haven’t been reading as much as I want to, and this Bible makes me feel eager to grow again and get back into daily reading. I ordered tabs for each book as well as some annotation tools in order to fully maximize my potential for learning. I know this review was a lot, but I hope it helps someone out on their decision on whether or not to invest, as this brand is a bit pricey compared to some other options. I would definitely say the price is worth it, though, and consider it to be a great investment for all the years of use I plan to get out of it.

Absolutely love this bible! Highly recommend it to every woman who pursues reading the word daily. It is colourful and beautifully crafted with maps, short helpful introductions to the different books as well as devotionals. It has a lot of space next to the text to add your own thoughts or journaling. In terms of fragility, I don’t see any difference to other bibles. Some pages, particularly the coloured ones, stick together at first but you can carefully separate them without causing any damage. I use the sakura pigma micron 9 fineliners for writing notes, wich works well as they won’t bleed trough the pages.

  4. Dori Weigel

Perfect for beginners to read and understand . And also for those familiar with the Bible . Easy to read and understand , large margins to write notes , great for all levels of learning and studying . Love the look !

  5. Tiffany Clifton

Translation is easy enough to follow. Makes reading bible daily less complex process and more enjoyable.

  6. Kindle Customer

I loved it! Pages are very thin but with the right markers you can avoid bleeding through the pages. It was a bit dirty, though, had fingerprints all over and a few pages folded which made me wonder whether it was used even when I paid for a new one.

  7. Tiffany Clifton

I would recommend ordering from elsewhere if you’re a perfectionist like me!! It seems to be under packaged by Amazon warehouse (though they were incredible at making this right for me) and it arrives dented and dinged a little, both the box and the Bible spine.

But it’s definitely worth it if you are looking for some guidance on how and where to study, and real life practical stuff too. The note margins are a little small, and the paper is superrrrrr thin, but I LOVE it! Another thing to keep in mind, it would be worth having a NIV translation around, to compare, or look up some of the missing text.

Overall, this Bible is good quality, it’s comfortable to hold and work with, it’s captivating, and the added features really help connect the scripture to day to day living.

  8. CDCS

    Thin paper but good one.
    Exactly as shown in image.
    It’s a good study Bible.

  9. Danielle B.

I love this bible. It has everything you could need inside, there are timelines, maps, genealogies, guided readings, summaries and explanations, and so much more. Reading the bible has always seemed like an overwhelming task to me but the format of this bible makes it so easy. Additionally at the end of the bible the authors included a section for different topics you may find of interest ex. grief, love, conflict, forgiveness, grace, and have included references to different passages that deal with these topics. This is definitely my favorite feature. It is also color coded by genera. This is an amazing study bible, first bible, or gift.

Oh My Gosh! Read this and other positive reviews ignore the negative ones! Where do I start! People don’t give this Bible enough credit honestly! I received it in perfect condition no extra long page or other defects.

This is a very beautiful well designed and well put together Bible. It’s rose gold colored like I imagined it to be and very beautiful! The edges are gold coated and they are sparkly I thought this was a treasure from a treasure chest when I saw how beautiful this was with the shiny sparkly pages i almost don’t want to highlight or take small notes in it. My intentions was to have some note space and have more than just a Bible and this gives some of everything. It has colorful maps, a good amount of devotionals, beautiful verse before each book starts, reading plan for a year, reading plan for each book of the Bible and verses to have a deeper study in. And so Much More! Gives an overview and purpose of each book. The pages I can write on and not have problems with. Little thin than what most people like but not too thin, I’d recommend a notebook and sticky notes for a lot of notes it’s got some margin space not a whole lot. It’s good to highlight in even with sharpie pen highlighters and Mr.pen highlighters. Sticky notes don’t tear the page and go in nicely. The CSB She Reads Truth is the best Bible I have seen in many years as I have some different ones from over the years the others are nice but not as nice as this one. This one is my jewel the one I want to protect from liquid and sticky things and not have a thousand notes on one page and have the notes beside the passage I’m studying. You can put stickers in it in areas margins are wide enough for most stickers especially in psalms and proverbs. I HIGHLY recommend this to all teens and ladies if you can’t read as well without glasses it’s worth it. I also recommend He reads truth to the guys.

The Bible group I’m in on Facebook alot of people have this Bible and love it and go to it over others, this is where my search for the Perfect Bible ends! He reads truth I recommend to the guys I’m getting my husband one soon as a surprise gift he’s been really wanting and needing a different Bible that’s as well put together and designed with as much LOVE and compassion as this one and a lady recommended that for my husband.

10/10 can’t recommend this one enough and it’s a well understood translation and even teens and 10-12 year olds can begin understanding this translation I would give it to 13+ audiences and just guide the younger ones through it and help with some words and understanding but it’s by far one of the easier to understand translations other than NLT if they made this in a NLT I would get that as well but I’ve been really wanting a CSB translation as this is my first and my favorite Bible of all I have and favorite translations as well. Don’t knock it til you try it and most of the Bibles don’t have a long page in it and it’s got 2 bookmarks. It’s like on the thicker side of the scale but still personal sized and not like a huge book that you can only have at home as this will fit in most any bag. Text size slightly larger than traditional size wear glasses if you have a hard time reading smaller text or contacts. That’s all I have to say. It’s excellent quality and great value for the money I got it half off at $25 I believe normally $50 but worth $50 in my opinion.
