I finally received my very own copy of Dolly Parton’s new book, “Behind The Seams – My Life In Rhinestones. In a word, the book is sublime, especially for anyone who not only loves Dolly, but has a REAL appreciation for the major importance and influence Dolly has had on fashion/costume history through the years. The large amounts of photos are sumptuous to look at and you find yourself lingering over photographs of magical moments and design, creating an unforgettable image. Je prends rarement la peine d’écrire un commentaire sur mes achats, mais ce livre est vraiment une splendeur. C’est un historique complet des costumes de scène de l’artiste, qui contient de très belles photos en couleur, gros plans, etc. De plus, les tenues sont magnifiques. I expected smth different in the contents but it is a story and photo album of Dolly Parton’s dresses , outfits, designers. And her lide and carreer through tjis lense. But the book is exquisite, beautiful and worth it.

Who doesn’t love a bit of Dolly!!? This exceptionally talented and kindly lady has sparkled throughout her life, just about as much as her sequin and jewel bedecked wardrobe does!!! I wasn’t sure if the Kindle version of this sumptuous book would be as good as the coffee table version, but I’m happy to say that it is!! For a digital copy, this book is pretty outstanding. It’s nice to have both versions of the book, as you can keep the coffee table book pristine, by thumbing through the Kindle version instead. Look out for offers, as I purchased the digital version at an absolute bargain price, which was a welcome bonus!! This book is a feast for the eyes and the soul. Dolly always provides a glimpse of sparkle and inspiration in what can currently be a very lacklustre world. Shine on, dear lady!!!
