All I can say is WOW!
I just received my copy of Beach Life… Home, Heart and the Sea last night and I haven’t put it down since! The beach is my happy place and this book spoke to my heart and soul……I loved every chapter!
I’ve always admired Lauren Leiss’s design aesthetic but this book is hands down my favorite of hers! When I get a new interior design book I usually thumb through it just for the pictures but with Beach Life I have literally read it word for word because it is that well written with powerful quotes and gorgeous pictures on nearly every page! The beach homes that she has designed are simple and beautiful with the focus being on family. She writes from the heart and it really brought back memories for me because my summers were always spent at a beach house. The scent of salty air and sun drenched towels, the colors, and the sounds of the waves…. The energy in the air! This book takes me back to all of my fondest memories.
It is beautifully written and bound and has earned its place front and center on my coffee table!

While the content is stunning and appealing (as always, thank you so much Lauren Liess!!), the technical quality of this book is absolutely poor. The paper is curled and the colors of the many pictures look artificial and unconvincing, spoiling the beautiful scenes that were photographed. What a shame! A book that is intended to convey design, style, and beauty should not be done so poorly.

This is a lovely book but I wish it had been printed on good paper. The images would be stunning if only printed on glossy nice paper.

I fell in love with Lauren’s livable, timeless, gorgeous style and as someone who lives and grew up a few miles from the beach I knew this book would be more than inspiring. I received it yesterday and couldn’t wait to grab some coffee and jump in. With summer just beginning, this book is an amazing reminder to slow down and savor every moment, not to mention creative and beautiful moments in her design that transport you to the ease of coastal living.

I enjoyed a rainy Memorial Day sitting on my covered deck reading this book, taking in the gorgeous photography, and dreaming of trips to the beach. The pictures and houses are gorgeous and designed perfectly. I can see myself living in all of them – they are so well thought out and dreamy. And I loved the stories and information Lauren shares throughout the book. Picked up some good ideas and things to consider when decorating my own home. This book transported me to my family trips to the OBX and other beach towns and made me smile. This is for sure a keeper and a book that I’m sure I’ll come back to over and over again.

Enjoyed this book. Really a great coffee table book as the pictures contained within of the ocean and Corolla, Outer Banks are beautiful, some breathtakingly so. I also found inspiration in all 3 of the houses Lauren personally owned that she included in the book.
