I bought this to use in Overeaters Anonymous; just switch out the word food for alcohol or overeater for alcoholic, and the lessons still apply. We use it in group and I read it on my own. Lots of highlighted sections and it can be read over and over and over again. Of course, the dark blue cover and dark blue title, are great for not advertising what you’re reading, if you like a little privacy.

This book is a must have! It’s not just for alcoholics, but for ANY addict. I’ve also known people to read this book who aren’t addicts just to get a better understanding of what an addict goes through and why they do what they do. I’ve been an addict for many years and this book, along with fellowship, has truly saved my life. The book never disappoints.

The text is very small. I would find it in larger print if it exists. Aside from text it is a classic on dealing with addictions. We are never the healer…God is.
