Detailed description:

Your Ultimate Guide to Book 1 in 3 Cold Calls

“The #1 reason for failure in sales is an empty pipeline. And the #1 reason your pipeline is empty is that you avoid cold calling. In this book, Armand & Nick inspire you to get past your mental hangups, pick up the phone, and start cold calling. Read it now. Your bank account will thank you!”
– JEB BLOUNT, bestselling author of Fanatical Prospecting

Cold calling is painful and uncomfortable for every single salesperson on Earth.

The average seller makes a couple dials, hits 6 voicemails, and gives up the moment a prospect hits them with a nasty objection.

But every time you decide to pick up the phone in spite of the suck, you separate yourself from the folks who quit. That’s when you get ahead on the leaderboard.

Cold calling sucks. And that’s why it works.

While most books are a 400-page exercise in academia, we have 4 promises to make this the most actionable sales book you’ve ever read:

  • Step-by-Step Breakdowns & Talk Tracks. You’ll learn how to win the first 60 seconds, overcome any objection, and land the meeting.

  • Audio Clips to Master Tone. It’s not just what you say, but how you say it. Listen to over 31 voiceovers embedded in QR codes.

  • Examples for Every Industry. Learn from interviews with 200+ elite reps who sell Saas, real estate, and everything in-between.

  • Backed by Gong Data on 300M+ Cold Calls. Every tactic is supported by results from real cold calls so you know it actually works.

If you embrace the suck of cold calling and master the frameworks in this book, you’ll reach the top 10% of reps who book 1 meeting for every 3 cold calls that connect.

This is your step-by-step-guide to get there.

Founders of the #1 sales podcast, 30 Minutes to President’s Club, Armand Farrokh led Pave from $0 to $13M+ ARR in two years as VP of Sales, and Nick Cegelski won #1 Enterprise Seller multiple times selling 6 & 7-figure deals.

  1. Leo R

Book arrived Sunday August 4th and I ripped through it in just a few short days. Very actionable, not some typical sales book full of fluff and “strategy”, this book absolutely kills. This will be on the side of my desk for years to come. Already starting to see improvements in my daily prospecting.

I’m an avid 30MPC listener, ever since they started, and this book did not disappoint. Great job Armand and Nick!

  2. Todd Butler

Nick and Armand shared a sample chapter a couple of months back, and I could hardly wait to get my hands on the entire book. They’ve taken the simple premise that cold calling is disliked yet effective, and with a systemic, data driven approach, dismantled every objection and demonstrate just how sales reps can be effective. They share their own strategies on call openers, handling objections, getting past voicemail and gatekeepers and more. Definitely worth a read if you’re looking for ways to improve your sales development performance.

  3. Amazon Customer

I’ve read tons of sales and cold calling books and they are all rather vague. It’s almost like the authors don’t really want to give you the secret sauce until you’ve read all their books and paid for there expensive training. These guys give you the secret sauce and break it down why it works and the cherry on top….they have the talk track. Best sales book on the market, you have to get the audio book as well to get the full benefit

  4. Tony Bell

I’ve read several dozen sales books and this is the most comprehensive resource I’ve ever consumed on cold calling. These guys did an amazing job of breaking down each step of the cold call, providing examples, QSR codes to ensure you grasp the tone and the mindset behind their concepts.

As cold email continues to be challenging, cold calls are becoming key to driving new business. If you’re looking for a single source this is the book. A big part of cold calling is confidence and after reading this book, your confidence will skyrocket.

    Great work!

  5. Tom

There was no doubt this was going to be a banger, but it even exceeded expectations. Synthesising the best-in-class info you guys have been putting out for ages into a book mustn’t have been easy, but the industry is better off for it. Mandatory reading for any new rep I bring on! Great stuff.

  6. Patrick Devenny

If you’re in sales, you know that cold calling is both an art and a science – especially now when prospects are getting hounded more than ever. This book is packed with actionable insights, backed by solid statistics that leave no room for doubt and, unlike most of the content you can find online, you’re not just following advice but instead proven methods that Nick and Armard have actually used and succeeded with.

The use of QR codes throughout the book are beyond brilliant. They allow you to listen to how each talk track should be delivered which is an absolute game changer! It’s like having a coach to guide you through the nuances of tone, pacing, and delivery that you can call on whenever you want. This feature alone has already had a huge impact.

Whether you’re an AE or BDR just starting out, this book will elevate your cold calling game to new heights. Highly recommended!

  7. Patrick Devenny

As a longtime follower of the 30 Minutes to President’s Club podcast, I was excited to dive into Armand and Nick’s cold calling guide—and it did not disappoint. The book is a concise, no-nonsense resource filled with practical, data-backed tactics that are easy to apply in real-world scenarios. I finished it in just two sittings and have already started recommending it to my team.

What sets this guide apart is its versatility; the strategies aren’t limited to B2B SaaS but can be adapted to various industries. The book offers actionable insights that can immediately enhance your sales prospecting, with memorable lessons and simple strategies that take the stress out of cold calling. Additionally, it provides clear tips for improving performance and staying organized in your work. Whether you’re a BDR, sales rep, or manager, this book is a valuable asset at any stage of your sales career.

  8. Amazon Customer

I had the privilege of taking a look at this book before it got published – Armand and Nick are some of the most intentional and down to earth sellers in the game. This book has every detail (even audio examples!) of what it’s like to be in the cold calling seat. As someone who has spent the last year cold calling, I couldn’t support this book more. It’s detail oriented, speaks to our generation on the phone and provides context from sellers who have done it ALL – from cold calling to closing. So happy this is finally out and CONGRATS to everyone involved!

  9. Stephen J. Susina

Ate this up. Loved this from beginning to end because it resonates with my selling style, which is to ease off the gas peddle instead of pushing/pressuring to purchase.

Not only does it provide great insight as to why this approach works, but it covers topics on cold calling objections, how to prioritize your calendar to be effective, how to leave voicemails, and persona based selling.

This may not be for everyone because there are some leadership persona’s/prospects that hate life/sales/cold callers and think this approach could come off too laissez faire.

  10. Greg Zippi

This is the best book on cold calling/prospecting I have come across in my four-decade high-tech selling career. I have been looking for a piece like this for a very long time. I read the entire book the day I received it.

I stumbled on an ad for its release in an email. Before that, I had never heard of Armand Farrokh and Nick Cegelski.

Kudos to both for what they have put together. They clearly know what they are talking about.

    My three favorite parts:

    1. Being “disarmingly blunt” when something needs to be called out.
    2. The use of QR codes to teach the tone of how to say things
    3. The Problem Proposition

I recommend this book to anyone serious about his/her selling career, no matter how long they have been at it.

And don’t just read it. Apply the practical things it teaches.

  11. Jess B

Coming from a background of cold calling every day for the last 9 years, the game has evolved.
From being told originally “pick up the phone, sell something”. I spent a long time crafting and trialling my own thing.

Applying the science from this book, understanding fundamentals of your opener. It’s a craft. These guys have nailed it. If nothing else, it will give you the motivation to push through that mental barrier and fear of going “pick up the phone”. Watch the videos, digest them. Test them. You’ll find your own way, but know what they’re talking about is right. You’ll have moments of “that’s right” not just “you’re right”, and shrug it off, like you do for every sales coach you follow.

  12. alastair fielding

Must read for sellers. Actionable book that is written from real-world experience.

  13. Amazon Customer

I’m an avid listener of the 30 Minutes to President’s Club Podcast so when I heard they were releasing a book, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it.

After reading just the first chapter, it was obvious this wasn’t a high level, theoretical book, it’s actually the most actionable sales book that I’ve ever read and here’s why:

✅ Step-by-step breakdowns to nail the first 60 seconds, handle objections, bypass gatekeepers, and maximize voicemail replies.

🎥 QR codes that lead to video and audio voiceovers so you can not only hear the delivery in action, but master the tone of each call.

📊 Data backed tactics, analyzing results from over 300 million cold calls – Some of these stats were so eye-opening I’m shifting how me and my team are operating (EX: The impact of a voicemail on your email response rate 👀)

📝 Homework you’ll want to do. Most books I read have end of chapter homework that feels more like a chore than a helpful takeaway but I found myself following through on these (even if I looked like a weirdo talking to myself on the G Train)
