I haven’t gotten too far into this book yet, but so far it has been good. I feel like if you are curious about how your past life, such as your childhood or past relationships, is currently effecting your present life, this is a great place to start. The prompts and explanations are easy to understand. Because they are simple, it allows you to think deeper without getting stuck on the meanings behind bigger words, which I think is very beneficial if you are new to psychology. Overall a good place to start!

Normally I find these kinds of things collect dust. The most valuable part of this journal is the final section for ad hoc working on triggers in real time. I’ve already learnt so much about myself just by completing a few exercises. It’s worth the price if you really want some insight and are ready to have an open mind.

The prompts are thought-provoking and encourage deep introspection, allowing you to confront your shadows and work towards integrating and transcending them.
I appreciate the journal’s emphasis on self-compassion and non-judgment. It creates a safe space for self-reflection and encourages you to approach your shadows with kindness and understanding. The journal prompts are designed to help you explore your shadows without feeling overwhelmed, providing a supportive framework for growth and healing.
One of the things I love about this journal is its flexibility. You can use it at your own pace and revisit previous sections whenever you feel the need to dive deeper. It’s a valuable tool for ongoing self-reflection and personal development.

The cover is literally so glossy and beauitful, i love the black and white. The pages look amazing and i love the prompts and all of them. I love the reading part too, really gave me some new insight. This book will change me and i cannot wait. Only thing i wish was there was more exercises where we didn’t have to write because i loved those 🙂

Full transparency, I haven’t gotten to use the journal yet. But this review is for the quality of the journal itself. The front cover looks like it was printed incorrectly with half an inch of the bottom part just being a white strip.

The content is great, but the quality of the book is terrible, but it’s not so cheap that it would come torn and the pages would fall out.

Honestly I don’t know why I didn’t know about this book sooner. Definitely help me realize that I still had a lot of built up emotions from my past, and so far it’s really helping me get through it with great insight and easy to do prompts that really tap into the root of things. Highly recommend!!
