I saw this book in New York but it was on my last day and it was too heavy to carry, so I was delighted to find it on Amazon (and cheaper than it was in NYC!)
It’s an amazing book; I really never thought I’d buy yet another cookery book but this one is hard to resist. In a few weeks I’ve tried 9 of the recipes and have been delighted with the results. The recipes are straightforward with easy-to-find ingredients (the author does keep suggesting you use pink Himalayan salt, but as I’ve found that apart from its appearance it’s no different from other salt I don’t bother). The full-page photographs are beautifully done, it includes a section of delicious vegetarian dishes as well as plenty of chicken, beef and fish ideas, desserts, soups, salads and breakfasts. I’d recommend it to anyone who loves cooking.

LOVE this cookbook. Have had it for a couple of weeks and have made lots of meals. Have loved every recipe so far! Highly recommend. Everything from breakfast, all meats, vegetarian & dessert plus you can customize how YOU want! Making 4 meals this week from cookbook, enjoying learning new spices to use. I like hardcover so I can write inside the book.

As someone who has never heard of the author prior to ordering the cookbook, I was initially wary of the quality of the recipes. But, they are honestly great. The steps are simple (although, just note there are some missing clarifiers, so go slow with a new recipe), and the food taste great. My only complaint is the recipes aren’t always based on common quantities most people have in a kitchen. Instead of a cup of basil, it would b helpful to mention what that looks like mass wise as well for those of us buying ingredients at the supermarket. And a recipe should ideally work with a whole quantity of a fixed, non common ingredient, like basil pesto. But, aside from my nitpicks, it’s great.

I love all the receipes! This is my second book of hers!!

I like that the majority of the recipes use ingredients you will have stocked in your home. The recipes are simple and quick to make. You have options in how you prepare them. The book itself is well written and beautiful. Also, it’s nice to find a cookbook that appeals to everyone in my family. Even my young children love these recipes and they are interesting enough for an adult palate. I highly recommend this.

I own too many cookbooks. For real. But I’ve moved a few off my kitchen bookshelf to make room for this one and her other one too. Most of the recipes are relatively simple, weeknight friendly cooking. In the first week I made the spicy noodles (definitely something I’ll keep in the rotation), the gyros (using leftover lamb but following the rest of the recipe) and the banana chocolate chip pancakes with maple cinnamon butter (an over-the-top family breakfast for sure)..but I have post-it notes on many more recipes that I want to try. Both the noodles and the gyros were just as delicious leftover as they were the night I made them. The photos are inspiring, the recipes always have interesting twists even when they are more traditional dishes. The roasted garlic tzatziki (for the gyros) was amazing. No really exotic ingredients, although a few have things I don’t usually keep in my pantry, but will start to from now on…so basically new “discoveries” for me that I am enjoying.

  8. Amazon Customer

I was introduced to this cookbook author by my daughter-in-law. Every time she made one of the recipes from the cookbook I thought it was delicious. I finally broke down and bought the book and I’m so glad I did. I like that the recipes are flavorful and yet don’t require you to buy ingredients that you’ll use once and then never again, most of the stuff I have on hand at home. Also, there’s a twist on a lot of classics like the roasted banana bread. The desserts are scrumptious and fully approved by my husband and very picky adult son. I plan on buying her other cookbooks.

  9. justme

I like the layout of the recipes with photos and well written. I’ve made a couple so far and they are delicious. I bought this for myself but it’s the kind of cookbook that I would give as a gift to someone who likes to cook.

I recently acquired a delightful cookbook that has quickly become a treasured gem in my culinary collection. From the moment I opened its pages, I knew I had stumbled upon something truly special. This cookbook not only inspires my culinary adventures but also offers a taco recipe that has become an absolute favorite.

The love I have for this cookbook is truly boundless. Its stunning layout, beautiful food photography, and thoughtful organization make it a joy to explore. Every recipe is meticulously detailed, providing clear instructions and helpful tips that ensure success in the kitchen.

What sets this cookbook apart is the passion and expertise that radiate from its pages. The author’s love for food shines through, as they share personal stories and culinary insights that deepen my appreciation for the art of cooking. Each recipe is crafted with care and attention to detail, allowing even novice chefs like myself to create dishes that impress and delight.

Bon appétit and happy taco feasting!

    UPDATE:
I love this cookbook so much that I bought it as a gift for a friend, and I will likely continue buying it as gifts for others!

    UPDATE 2:
THE SALMON IS SO INCREDIBLE TOO!

I have been following Tieghan on Instagram for a few years. I heard of her after being sent her recipes by friends on multiple occasions. I’ve made several of her dishes and some I have on repeat in my kitchen. My husband loves when I cook one of her specialties! They are so good and comforting. I love her flavors and combination of meat and vegetarian recipes. There is a good mix of dishes, some rather simple and some complex or time consuming which is awesome since I’m human and don’t always want to cook and sometimes I want to go all out. Some of the recipes are brand new and others variations of what I’ve seen on her site. I appreciate this because sometimes it’s a bit deflating when you get a new cookbook and zero recipes peak your interest or just seem too out there or complicated to start. Having a handful of her classic Half Baked Harvest dishes with a twist on these beautiful pages makes all the difference. It just hits different cooking dinner with a beautiful book and inspiring image on your countertop rather than on your tiny iPhone that you have to unlock every 10 seconds with dirty hands because the screen just has to go black when you’re mid cooking haha. Tieghan is also a beautiful photographer (and videographer!!) and food stylist so this cookbook will not disappoint with its delicious recipes and beautifully inspiring accompanying images!!
