What a great seasonal, fun, and engaging story for children young and old! I never have more undivided attention with my little one then when reading the Little Blue Truck stories. The way Alice writes the Little Blue Truck series creates a fun and engaging opportunity to create different voices for each character, and with the addition of peek-a-boo flaps in these books , it’s so much more enriching to my little one! I would recommend this book, and the entire series to any parent that loves story time with their child.

The Little Blue Truck books are wonderful and this one is a great addition to the series! My grandson loves having them read to him and I actually enjoy reading them as the cadence is so natural and flows perfectly and all of the books have a sweetness to them. I’m so happy I came across these books and will continue to look for new books in this series and add them to our library. I think I enjoy them as much as my grandson does!

Little Blue Truck’s Halloween lift a flap is super cute! This is probably our 6th book from this series and we love it! My little girl enjoys lifting the flaps to see the character that belongs to each Halloween costume. My favorite thing about these books are the illustrations. The book quality is great and this was a fun one to add to our library. Would definitely recommend adding it to your collection.

“Little Blue Truck’s Halloween” is a great addition to the series and a wonderful come back from last year’s disappointing “Little Blue Truck’s Beep-Along Book”. In the new book, the author Alice Schertle’s great rhymes are back and the illustrations by Jill McElmurry are cute and fun once again.
When I pre-ordered my copy of the book, there wasn’t a product description, so I was happily surprised when I discovered it has flaps which you lift to see what is underneath. The concept is that each of our favorite animals are in the book once again and most are in costume. You lift the flap to see which animal is “hidden” under their mask. I really appreciate that it helps re-enforce animal names while a child has fun with guessing and enjoying the cute costumes. The back page is an entire flip-over page and reveals the biggest costumed entity as well. Don’t want to ruin the big surprise but don’t be surprised is there are a few “Beep, beep, beeps” to be read.
I purchased one copy thinking it would be enough for both of my grandchildren but, as it turns out, my grandson likes it so well, he wants it kept by the rocking chair in his room at my house. I’ll happily purchase a second copy of this (as well as the first two books and the Christmas book in the series) for my granddaughter as well to enjoy once she is old enough. I’ll include a copy of photos of my grandson’s favorite pages.

We bought this for my one-year-old son and it was such a hit he insisted on carrying it around with him for the next week and we memorized it within a day after reading it to him so many times. This was actually not a bad thing because the book itself is lovely, with charming text and illustrations.

My son has been asking for this book since he discovered little blue. I was happy to see that this book has a-lift-the-flap aspect to it. He is able to use the sound the animals make to figure out who is in that costume. It is great fun for both us and he is learning!
