Detailed description:

Murder brought us together.
Only death can keep us apart.

The Tormentor:

Calista belongs to me… she just doesn’t know it.
The first time we met, I wanted her.
The next time, I was obsessed.
I watched her.
I followed her.
It only deepened my need to possess her.
Once she’s mine, I’m never letting her go.

The Target:
Hayden Bennett is a monster, in and out of the courtroom.
Unfortunately, I need his help.
What was supposed to be a simple transaction turns into something else.
Something intense.
He’s always there when I need him,
but I don’t know if trusting him is a good idea…

Once You’re Mine is Book 1 in the Possessing Her Duet that ends on a cliffhanger. It contains a morally gray hero that’s OTT/JP, a stalker who falls first, has Touch Her & Die energy, and is willing to do whatever it takes to have her.

12 reviews for Once You’re Mine: A Dark Stalker Romance (Possessing Her)

  1. Bohdana

Juicy spicy and in general nice book. Spicy descriptions are amazing plus plot is interesting and fascinating.
My recommendation to fans of dark romance

  2. Rachel George

This book got me out of my reading slump… Couldn’t put it down.. I actually loved Hayden to bits.. So good and the tension between the MCs is just 🔥🔥

  3. the witch

Wow! I am taking small tastes of different types of dark romance. Wow!!! There are a lot of them. This one is a kind of Dexter male main character with stalker/touch her and you die mixed in. He’s a rich (aren’t they all?) guy with psychopath tendencies. She’s got a “I hate him/ I want to jump his bones” vibe.
Now this is not a stand alone book. Morgan has written a part 2. I’m undecided on continuing their journey. You might find another review for the second book from me in the future. Not sure yet.
The book is very well written. I try not to give any spoilers. But I will say: Hayden is very sexy.

  4. Lucy.

Parece uma grande fanfic do wattapad, não é ruim mas não é bom, bem mediano e até agora não consegui gostar muito dele.
O livro é curto então não foi cansativo para a história que ele conta, indo pro segundo…

I obliterated this book in a few hours. It’s so good. I could not put it down. I’m immediately diving into book two. Calista and Hayden’s chemistry lifts off the page and captures you in the tornado of their relationship. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

  6. Caity

I was able to get an ARC copy of this book and I have to say it exceeded my expectations. I went in blind and had no idea what was coming. Morgan did a great job in this one and I CANNOT wait to dive straight into the second book!

Once You’re Mine by Morgen Bridges is a dark romance novel that delves into themes of obsession and the moral complexities of love. The story centers around Hayden, a morally ambiguous character who becomes deeply fixated on Callista. His dual nature—upstanding in public but a stalker in private—adds a layer of psychological intrigue to the narrative.

Once You’re Mine is recommended for fans of dark romance who are comfortable with its intense themes. The book offers a compelling, if not entirely satisfying, journey into the complexities of love and obsession.

I hate the fact that I can’t leave 1/2 ⭐️ reviews! I try to reserve 5⭐️ for books that really take my breath away & consume my soul. Once You’re Mine by Morgan Bridges was so close to 5 ⭐️ that 4 just wasn’t enough! The author’s writing is fantastic & gives you just information to keep you invested in the story.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 – I loved this book! Good plot, good story, & good spice.
🌶️🌶️🌶️ Mild Spice. More plot than spice! The spice was well worth the wait though 🥵

I found this book through BookTok & after reading it, I was not surprised that it went viral. I know from the first couple chapters whether I’m going to love a book or not. This one consumed me right off the bat! Hayden is SO over the top & protective of Callie that’s there’s no escaping from him. At first, Hayden tries to deny the pull between him and Callie. But, the chemistry between them was undeniable. I did feel as if it was unbelievable that Hayden’s actions have no consequences. Realistically, He does some pretty crazy shit that must have bystanders calling the police at some points. But alas, no consequence for Hayden.

I still have so many questions about Callie’s backstory. I feel that the author gives us little tidbits of information but not enough to gather the whole story. I’m dying to know exactly what happened on June 24th and the connection with Senator Green and his Secretary. Same goes for Hayden & his past. What makes him the way that he is?

Book 1 ends on a cliffhanger! Callie is finally starting to put two and two together. I can’t wait to see where Hayden & Callie end up.

The media could not be loaded.

The quality was really good and there was no damages on it so I really enjoyed it.

  9. Candice

This is easily 3.5 stars. The cliff hanger at the end *chefs kiss* You can feel the intensity between Callie and Hayden, but for me the real favorite is definitely Harper.

The book, for me, starts off a little slow. It’s a fast read but how Hayden talks in the beginning made me feel a little bored. Hayden is obviously intelligent. The way the author has him speak definitely portrays that side. It does get better throughout the book.

Callie, or Calista, is a sweet girl who’s lost her father. She went from being the pampered but kind senators daughter, to a very penniless woman struggling to survive. She has little to no confidence and has severe anxiety.

I’d say that between the spice and the plot it’s not bad. There are times it felt smut heavy but it followed along with the plot so it worked.

Reasons it’s not a 4 for me is there are a few editing mistakes in the book. Nothing terrible, a mispelling, a word that didn’t make since in the sentence. Those kind of things. It’s not mistake heavy but I noticed a few.

I’m usually a little apprehensive about these types of books. The super obsessed ones, but this one wasn’t terrible. I read this due to my old co workers starting a book group and inviting me to join. I’m glad I read it. Is it one I’ll buy the physical copy of? I’m not sure. If I enjoy the second book in this series I’ll probably pick it up.

Reading this pros: there were times I laughed, times I felt the butterflies with Callie, times my chest hurt from understanding the pain she felt. I loved how Harper had a new name for Hayden everytime she talked about him. The author did a good job of trying to keep the book both smutty and interesting.

I’m always a tad apprehensive about this genre only because obviously this is red flag behavior. Super fun to read and pretend that this is ok but totally different if this were to happen to anyone in real life. I think that’s why this particular genre struggles to get a higher rating solely because women are nervous someone might read this and think it’s ok. Obviously not the authors fault, reading is subjective.

This may not be a book for you and that’s ok. At the end of the day I’ll read anything once! On to book 2!

When you think it’s gonna get spicy, it doesn’t. But the overall story is fun but Calista is really really really frustrating. Her reasonings for “denying” Hayden has no purpose.

  11. Christa Jones

A little Suspense that keeps you wanting to read a little more and a little more. Now on to book 2!

  12. Crystal DeBoard

It was well-written, disturbing, and romantic with a little spice all wrapped into one. The story itself is addictive and kept me wanting to know more. My only complaint was that the MFC was a little ditzy when it came to figuring out who her stalker was.
