This is an excellent LSAT prep book! When I bought it in March 2023, I had just signed up for the June 2023 LSAT and had no idea what the format of the LSAT was or how to practice. This book really is a one stop shop for all of the explanations that you need to succeed on the LSAT. On my first practice test I got a 166, but after going through all of the content in the book, I was consistently scoring between 173-178 on practice tests. One thing that I really appreciate about the book is that the author really focuses on having to build you skills and being able to trust your instincts so that you can perform on test day. I feel that this was the perfect resource for me and am very happy with my score of 176.
One thing to note is that this book does not contain any full practice exams and has a limited number of drills. There are of course the 4 free tests offered through LawHub, which he does mention. My recommendation is to also make a free Khan Academy account and to use that in conjunction with this book. They have 13 full practice tests with explanations of all of the answers after you complete the test. They also have practice questions for each different kind of question.

(Knocking off a star for the printing errors my copy had. Some pages weren’t inserted or cut correctly. It was a bit annoying but the content was perfectly legible and usable once I cut/ tore the pages apart.) This was very helpful in fine tuning my understanding of the LSAT and strategies to employ. It was also no-nonsense in the presentation of the material–the book is useless unless you’re willing to put in the time and effort, and it lets you know that. There were great exercises to hone my skills in particular areas, and the format of the book uses a spiral learning method, which really worked for me. I don’t want to give my exact score, but I will say the time I took the LSAT after using this prep book, I hit the 94th percentile–not too shabby! A great resource if you’re willing to put in the work to use it well.

Quality of the product is no good, pages are getting detached everytime I turn the pages.

Mike Kim’s approach to breaking down complex concepts into digestible parts is both insightful and practical. Each section of the LSAT—logical reasoning, reading comprehension, and logic games—is covered in detail, with clear explanations and numerous examples that make even the trickiest questions manageable. The practice drills and exercises are particularly helpful, reinforcing the strategies discussed and allowing for hands-on application.
One of the standout features of this guide is its focus on understanding the underlying principles of the test, rather than just memorizing techniques. This deeper comprehension made me more confident and adaptable in tackling a variety of questions. Additionally, the book’s conversational tone and motivational tips keep you engaged and motivated throughout the study process.

I am incredibly disappointed in this book! I have been studying the whole summer of two months, and this book, in my opinion, is just a review book to help you get a better score if you already have prior knowledge of how to tackle the LSAT. I feel as though the reviews that are about this book are not accurate. The way that the author writes makes you feel like you have known him for a long time. That helps keep you engaged until your about halfway in the book. The most disappointing part about the book is once you think you get something and you go to check your answers, you don’t get it right; the author doesn’t even explain how you got it wrong. Another part about this book that I found it extremely distracting was that the author jumps into different sections without giving you any explanations for you to understand what you just read. UPDATE: My apologies to the author of this book! You see I kept my original post for anybody that reads this to see that I was wrong. After reading make him his book I decided to journey on to other authors an LSAT books and I quickly realized that the book that I complain so much about was actually the book they gave me the foundation that I need it in order to take the LSAT. I advise you greatly to buy this book it is going to help you especially if you don’t know anything about the LSAT or what to expect. Mike Kim has it my apologies to the author of this book! Mike Kim has given I Me the tools that I need in order to take the LSAT. You have to get this book don’t start with no other book but this book 1st. I am waiting right now for the PowerPoint trilogy I have heard that it works very well with the LSAT trainer from Mike Kim. Also it doesn’t say this in any of the reviews so I’m gonna give you a heads up, you’re gonna have to buy two practice books additional to this book which are really great and go well together. Depending on your study Mike Kim has an online forum That is free for people who buy this book and it is very helpful with study guides and videos. You can also look him up on YouTube. I hope this helps because I did not do the author of this book any justice in my first review I had to circle back around to make it right. Thank you so much Mike Kim for teaching me about the LSAT. I have Disabilities that affect my learning takes me longer than the average person to consume information. Mike Kim makes the understanding of the LSAT seem easy and manageable! Good luck on your LSAT exam!

This is a good introduction to the LSAT. If you are at the beginning of your LSAT journey, I recommend starting with this book. It situated me perfectly. I began with a cold diagnostic that I was not super stoked on, dedicated myself to this book for my first month of studies and re-tested 6 points higher. It’s not enough on its own, but no test prep book is.

I decided to study the LSAT by myself, and this book has been an essential part of the process. Mike delivers the information in such a readable manner that chapters fly by when you study with this book (unless you get stuck on a drill!). Highly recommend it for anyone who is preparing for an LSAT.
