Detailed description:

A New York Times bestselling series!

The highly anticipated third novel in the This Woven Kingdom series, full of powerful magic, searing romance, and heartbreaking betrayal, from the award-winning and bestselling author of the Shatter Me series. Perfect for fans of Leigh Bardugo, Sabaa Tahir, and Tomi Adeyemi.

As the long-lost heir to the Jinn throne, Alizeh has finally found her people—and she might’ve found her crown. Cyrus, the mercurial ruler of Tulan, has offered her his kingdom in a twisted exchange: one that would begin with their marriage and end with his murder.

Cyrus’s dark reputation precedes him; all the world knows of his blood-soaked past. Killing him should be easy—and accepting his offer might be the only way to fulfill her destiny and save her people. But the more Alizeh learns of him, the more she questions whether the terrible stories about him are true.

Ensnared by secrets, Cyrus has ached for Alizeh since she first appeared in his dreams many months ago. Now that he knows those visions were planted by the devil, he can hardly bear to look at her—much less endure her company. But despite their best efforts to despise each other, Alizeh and Cyrus are drawn together over and over with an all-consuming thirst that threatens to destroy them both.

Meanwhile, Prince Kamran has arrived in Tulan, ready to exact revenge…

Layered with exquisite tension and heart-stopping romance, All This Twisted Glory is the explosive third book in the captivating, bestselling Woven Kingdom series.

This isn’t a review for the content in the book, but on the actual physical book I was sent. This might not bother some people, but it bothered me so I figured others would want to know just in case. I ordered the paperback version and the front covers says, “Available Exclusively in the Indian Subcontinent.” It’s printed on the front cover so it doesn’t come off. This book is also taller than the other books in the series so it doesn’t line up nicely with them. The font of the text inside the book is also slightly bigger. Then if you look at the spine, the third book was printed by electric monkey instead of Harper. I’m assuming the paper book version isn’t available for the US yet, so they are selling it from somewhere else. If you don’t mind your book not matching the others in the series, then there’s nothing PHYSICALLY wrong it—it’s mainly just for the aesthetic.

    Just awesome

After the way These Infinite Threads ended, I couldn’t wait for the next book in the series to be released. And then the cover for All This Twisted Glory was released and I was beyond myself – so pretty. But also I needed more of Alizeh and Cyrus and couldn’t wait until it was released.

All This Twisted Glory picks up pretty much right where These Infinite Threads left off. Kamran and his ragtag group of “friends” are on their way to Tulan. Alizeh still isn’t sure if she should marry Cyrus, but her people are waiting for her – demanding she show herself as the Queen that she is.

Without giving too much away – I feel like not a lot happened for a good chunk of the book. The last 1/3 of the book picked up considerable speed, but the pacing felt off. Whereas, even though I feel like not a lot happened in These Infinite Threads either – the angst, tension and story were still compelling.

Will I be continuing on with this series – ABSOLUTELY. I need to know more about Cyrus. So many nuggets were dropped about his past and I need this poor tortured sad boy to tell us more. I did enjoy the Kamran chapters slightly more than I did in the last book – but ugh is Miss Huda supposed to be that annoying? Loved loved loved Hazzan and need to know more about him!

Overall – I really enjoyed this book, but not as much as the previous one. I just need more Alizeh + Cyrus please.

    First impression.

I couldn’t read this one fast enough. But I read it too fast! I had to know what happened next, but I also wanted to savor the story.

What kept me reading (or didn’t).

Cyrus continued to break my heart, and I fell more and more in love with him as the story went. I’m glad Alizeh has also! Thankfully, she by no means excuses the things he’s done, but she’s starting to see the male underneath all the manipulation, and is trying to understand how he got where he is.

Kamran is totally on my last nerve, and while I do hope he gets his redemption, I also want him to take a flying leap into a chasm! Ha! Hulda and the others are hilarious, and it’s wonderful to see them getting on Kamran’s nerves.

    After taste.

Realistically, I feel left with more questions than answers after this book:
What is going on with Cyrus’s father?
What are all those Jinn waiting for Alizeh going to do?
    And –
WHO IN THE WORLD IS HAZAN?!? He’s hiding something huge. But I give him props for being so willing to support Alizeh. Still – there’s something more to him.

    Overall impression.

I don’t want to wait for the next book. Mostly because I want read how Alizeh takes Iblees apart limb from limb!!

The audio, voiced by Kate Reading, is outstanding.

Really hate being left hanging. But, need to know what happens next. Team Cyrus to the end! Highly Recommend this series if you love fantasy!

The writing in this series is so beautiful. This book just sucked me in from page one, and I was enraptured till the end. It’s truly a whirlwind story as so much happens in so little time. I almost felt as overwhelmed and exhausted as the characters as they faced one thing after another after another.

This is both genius for the writer, as it gets readers to fly through the pages, but it almost makes the pacing a little too overwhelming. I could hardly catch my breath through the story with this dire need to keep reading because everything happening is so climactic and so fast-paced. There’s not a dull moment to the story which is great, but I almost wish that book two had been made longer, or this book didn’t end so abruptly after so much fast-paced action. I’d have preferred an ending that allowed me time to catch my breath and give me a moment to settle from the story as I wait the next book. Instead I’m left right in the middle of an epic moment, and I’m left unsatisfied.

Looking at the overall series so far, I think the breaks in the story between books could have been better placed. That’s my only critique.

Otherwise this is a well-written, magical story I can’t wait to continue reading in the next book!

I ordered this book hoping it would match my other hardcovers from this series. It doesnt.
Electric monkey and harper collins are the same company.
